Opened in 1988 after the resounding success of Tokyo Disneyland resort, Disney Planet Resort is located just outside Dallas, Texas and serves as a successor to Walt Disney World and Disneyland. The resort features five theme parks, two waterparks, fifteen hotels, a retail and dining district, an airport, an indoor entertainment center, a monorail system with four lines, a Skyliner system stopping at many major locations, boat transit, and a bus system that uses roads specifically designed for it. Disney Planet Resort is built in the name of Walt Disney and serves to inspire generation after generation with truths of their dreams, the dreams that have created America and the world, and the dreams that will make the world a better place for all.
