The Muppet Show Live is a show in Muppet Studios. The show uses a mix of audio animatronics, puppets and clips from The Muppet Show, Muppet Online Videos, Disney Xtreme Digital Muppets channel, and one video from The Muppets Kitchen with Cat Cora.

The show is located inside of The Muppet Theater.

The audience is ushered into a reproduction of the Muppet Theater from The Muppet Show, complete with Statler and Waldorf (in audio animatronic form) in their box. The two curmudgons heckle and welcome the audience to the show. The Muppet Show logo is lowered onto the stage and an audio animatronic version of Nigel the Conductor and the muppet orchestra rises from the floor. Kermit pops out of the "O" announcing "It's The Muppet Show Live at Muppet Studios! Yaaaay!!!". As the sign is raised up, the screen cuts to a video of The Muppet Show's opening theme from The Muppets with re-shot footage and a new comment from Statler and Waldorf. Kermit welcomes everyone to the show and introduces the first act. Sam the Eagle, Beaker, Link Hogthrob and Rowlf come out on stage and perform "Smells Like Teen Spirit". A clip from the episode 207 is shown. From Fozzie's Comedy Acts, Fozzie brings over Chucky to tell jokes, but Chucky won't talk to him. So, Kermit whispers in Fozzie's ear to learn about Ventriloquism. And, Fozzie does the act again and gets it right. Mahna Mahna and the Snowths perform "Mahna Mahna" to the new audio track featuring Bill Barretta's vocals. New footage of Mahna Mahna leaving the theater and stopping at a massaging salon before calling the theater was shot. A video clip is shown from 'The Muppets Kitchen with Cat Cora', where the Newsman reports that she is coming to worldwide web to watch Cat Cora and the Muppets "Ham it up", then he gotten splattered by fallen pancakes instead of ham, and attacked and pecked by Muppet chickens. An audio animatronic Kermit sitting on a tree stump sings "Bein' Green". A video clip from the episode 307 from the Muppet Show is shown. From the Muppet Labs, Bunsen and Beaker observe the new latest inventions, "The Germ Enlarger". Beaker adds one drop on the germ, which made it grow super large and covers up Beaker, making him all dirty. Scooter, Floyd and the Electric Mayhem come out onstage and perform "Mr. Bassman" to the new audio track featuring David Rudman and Matt Vogel's vocals. A video clip from the Muppets viral video, "Pöpcørn", is shown. Swedish Chef prepares to make shrimp inside a pot and throws one out of it. He then puts the lid on top of the pot and makes a whole lot of popcorn by shoving the packs of popcorn in the microwave. He then makes music by playing "Popcorn", but then gotten interrupted by a shrimp. He catches it, but then ends up gotten all covered in popcorn by an explosion from the microwave. Miss Piggy comes out on stage and performs "The Entertainer" accompanied by Rowlf on the piano. A clip from "The Muppets' Secret Elevator Tapes" is shown from Disney Xtreme Digital Muppets channel, "What Floor?" is shown, where Gonzo asks Kermit if he wants to go to the 23rd floor. But, there's no 23rd floor in the building. So, Gonzo ends up by going to the 32nd floor. Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem came out on stage and start singing "Can You Picture That?" with a new track from the YouTube video that features Bill Barretta, David Rudman, Matt Vogel, Dave Goelz and Eric Jacobson. A clip from the episode 213 from the Muppet show is shown. From Veterinarian's Hospital, Dr. Bob, Nurse Janice and Nurse Piggy does William Shakespeare jokes. Gonzo comes out and performs head-bowling and makes a big success. A clip from the episode 311 is shown. Kermit talks to Marvin Suggs and the Muppaphone. Walter in his tuxedo comes out on stage and performs "The Whistling Caruso". Fozzie Bear comes out onstage and performs a comedy act only to be heckled by Statler and Waldorf and is pulled off stage by a shepard's crook. A video clip from episode Floyd, Animal, Zoot and Dr. Teeth come out onstage and sing "New York State of Mind". Kermit and Fozzie drive onstage in a replica of Fozzie's Studebaker and they sing "Movin' Right Along". A video clip is shown from episode 423 of The Muppet Show where what begins as a Pigs in Space sketch finishes with Veterinarian's Hospital. Kermit comes out onstage and sings "Kokomo" with the help of Floyd, Janice, Animal and Zoot. A clip from the episode 510 is shown. From "Bear on Patrol", Patrol Bear caught a car name ZZXKL by double parking. But, ZZXKL isn't guilty. So, Sheriff Hogthrob calls for Police Interpreter Gonzo who uses tongs to squeeze Patrol Bear's nose. The Electric Mayhem then come out on stage and sing "Kodachrome". A clip from "The Muppets' Secret Elevator Tapes" is shown Disney Xtreme Digital Muppets channel. "Battle Hymn of the Republic" is shown, where Kermit, Fozzie, Gonzo and Pepe started singing a classic in the elevator. Miss Piggy comes out and sings "Never Before Never Again" accompanied by Rowlf, Janice, Floyd and Animal, playing their instruments. A clip from the episode 214 is shown. The Swedish Chef prepares to make eggs from the chicken, but it instead laid ping pong balls. So, in anger, The Swedish Chef instead makes chicken by chasing after the chicken with a frying pan. Constantine comes out onstage and sings "I'll Give You What You Want (Cockatoo in Malibu)" with the extended take. A clip from the episode 521 is shown. From Fozzie's Comedy Acts, Fozzie Bear was insulted and annoyed by Wally Whoopie from the WHOG Country Radio. The Muppets then come out onstage and sing "Rainbow Connection". Kermit then thanks the audience for watching the show, and "We'll see you next time on The Muppet Show!". The curtain closes and the audience leaves while The Muppet Show's closing theme plays.

Trivia[]

  • The puppeteers who perform the Muppets in the live segments of the show are trained by the Jim Henson Company for authenticity.
  • Whenever Rowlf, Floyd, Zoot, Janice, and Animal appear onstage, their audio animatronic versions are lowered into the floor.
